As the weather warms up following a very wet winter, mosquitoes will be emerging. With mosquitoes thehe danger of contracting a mosquito borne disease like West Nile Virus is ever increasing, especially in the Chicagoland area.
We can help with these vexing pests by inspecting the yard, treating some of the foliage where adult mosquitoes hide during the day, and alerting you to any standing water in your yard.
Here are some tips to keep your yard mosquito free:
Mosquitos breed in standing water. Look for sources of it around your home or business, including flowerpot saucers, clogged gutters, unattended water features, abandoned swimming pools, even over watered areas of your lawns etc. Also, be sure to check with your neighbors for a cooperative effort. Mosquitos do not recognize property lines. Be sure to set a defensive, proactive border where you live.
